Our first adventure after our cruise was a trip to Gatorland, one of the things on Sarah’s must-do list.
Since 1949, Gatorland has been open and run as a family business. In a part of the world that is dominated by big name theme parks, Gatorland retains some old school charm. We really enjoyed it.
We have never seen so many alligators in the one place, obviously. It was incredible to see so many together especially some of the larger 12 – 14 ft alligators. They looked so menacing swimming around in the water areas.
The best parts of the park were the shows, of which we attended 3 and saw some alligator wrestling (a man playing with an alligator, pictured below) and alligators jumping out of the water for food – see below.
