Train to Disneyland Paris

We rose early this morning and left our London apartment at 7am.  We caught a taxi outside our apartment and took it to the St Pancras train station, where the Eurostar trains depart.

We checked in, went through security and waited for our train to arrive.

The Eurostar train was very good and very fast.  It cruised through the English countryside and before you know it, we were in the English Channel tunnel and out the other side looking at the French countryside.

We stopped at Lille, France and hopped off the train to change train.  We had a 90 minutes stopover and each of the children had a french pastry for morning tea.  We insisted that they could only have a pastry if they conducted the whole purchase / transaction speaking french.  Which they all did with aplomb.

Our 2nd train arrived and we hopped on for the 1 hours 15 minutes ride south down towards Paris with our final destination Disneyland Paris.  We caught the shuttle bus and checked into our hotel before quickly returning to outside the Disneyparks, an area known as Disney Village which is full of restaurants and shops.

We spent the next couple of hours wandering through all the Disney shops deciding what we would purchase before we left.  We also wandered down to the Disneyland hotel and bought our billets (tickets) for tomorrow’s day 1 at Disneyland Paris.

We had some dinner and then caught the shuttle bus back to our hotel to prepare for our big day tomorrow.
