We all really enjoyed a slowed down, relaxing day out today.
We left the hotel around 9am and headed down the I5 towards Carlsbad, down towards San Diego where we did some shopping at the Premium Outlets in Carlsbad. We started the morning with a Starbucks and then had a look inside Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Crate and Barrel, and Merrell.
We then ventured inland to San Marcos to one of the family’s favourite stores in the entire world, Hobby Lobby and all bought a number of items, including some Christmas items, which Hobby Lobby has lots of.
For lunch, we enjoyed a burger each from In n Out Burger sitting outside in the gorgeous SoCal sunshine and light breeze, before some more clothes shopping at Ross and Marshalls.
We then headed back north along the I5 back to our hotel before grabbing some groceries for dinner. The girls swam in the pool whilst Mum and Dad enjoyed a quiet drink beside the pool.
The Melbourne Cup Day is being broadcast on US television so we may tune in to that shortly to watch the race.
Tomorrow will be Disneyland again for our 2nd day there. The park is open from 9am until 9pm tomorrow and we will most likely be there all day.
