On Wednesday morning we got up early, had breakfast and left our apartment at 6:30am. We had to catch 3 separate trains to get to Tokyo Disneyland.
When we arrived, we immediately realised the park was going to be packed for the day. We purchased our tickets and waited in the very deep lines for entry at 8am.
We headed straight to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to ride it and get fastpasses. It took approximately 1 hour before we got on and by the time we finished, the wait time was out to over 2 hours.
Here is a photo looking back at all of the people lining up near the ride:
We went to World Bazaar (Main Street in other parks) and grabbed some interesting pastries for morning tea, which look something like this:
We spent some time shopping, caught up with Stitch and rode Space Mountain.
We had a late lunch at the Queen of Hearts Banquet Hall.
Here are some more photos from our day at Disneyland.
Then as night came, the electrical light parade came out which was very impressive.
but the fireworks were cancelled due to strong winds.
So we headed off back by train to our apartment.
On Thursday morning, we did it all again. Got up early, had breakfast and then headed off to Disneyland by train. However today we were going to the other park, DisneySea, which is significantly larger than the Disneyland park and has only been opened since 2001.
We went straight to the Toy Story Mania ride (known as Midway mania in other parks), and lined up for more than 2 hours to ride it, although we were able get fastpasses for later in the day.
We also continued our exploration of the very different snacks available at Tokyo Disney parks including this little serving of mochi:
We rode a new ride, Nemo and Friend’s Searider, Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Raging Spirits which is very similar to the Temple de Peril ride in Paris Disneyland.
We then had dinner and spent time walking around the park at night before watching the Fantasmic show, Tokyo DisneySea style.
Most of the family enjoyed a healthy sleep in on Friday morning before we head off shopping for the day.
Omg you must have a lot of patience I would go bonkers standing around waiting definitely not our thing and how many times would I have to go off to the loo. He he,
Have lots of fun and I hope you get all the goodies you want. Luv u all xxxooo
Again great pictures. Disneylands … are always good. Joseph, Natalie and I waited in line (about 20 lines, about 200 in each line) to get in. Everyone so orderly, just standing waiting in the hot morning sun.
