On Monday morning we set off early again to visit the Tokyo DisneySea park. Fortunately the crowds were significantly reduced from last week’s which made a massive difference to our day.
We started with a quick photo at the Disney monorail station as everything had been re-themed for Tokyo Disneyland’s 35th anniversary.
We rushed along with everyone else to get fastpasses to the Toy Story Mania ride and then rode Tower of Terror, which we hadn’t rode yet on our previous visits. We also rode Journey to the Centre of the Earth on several occasions, the Indiana Jones ride whilst the children went on the Raging Spirits ride again and again and again (riding as a single rider).
Each of the children purchased a popcorn bucket, which allows you to buy a fill up at any of the many popcorn stands. Flavours include:
- Garlic shrimp
- BBQ
- Black pepper
- Curry
- Caramel
- Herb tomato
- Milk chocolate
- Salted
- Honey
- Soy sauce and butter
We tried most of these. Here is Sarah’s bucket in front of the Toy Story ride:
We continued to enjoy the variety of different food treats available at the Tokyo Disney Parks and here is the family enjoying a snack in an Italian themed section of the park:
Here are some photos from the Arabian Coast section of DisneySea where we had lunch a couple of times.
Another photo of the girls with the Columbia ship and Tower of Terror in the background.
We also watched another performance of Big Band Beat where Mickey dances and plays the drums:
… before having dinner and waiting for the nightly performance of Fantasmic:
We were also able to ride the Journey to the Centre of the Earth again at night.
Again we caught the train home back to our apartment and here is the SkyTree tonight as we exited the train station:
We did it all again on Tuesday morning, getting up early, having breakfast and catching 3 trains to Disneyland. Again the crowd was a lot less than last week although there was a lot of media presence for the launch of the 35th anniversary celebrations.
and here is Jenna’s popcorn bucket:
We were able to ride Mum’s favourite ride many times over in Big Thuunder Mountain Railroad throughout the day.
Here is photo in front of it later in the day:
We rode all of our classic favourites in Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Haunted Mansion, Monsters Inc (which is unique to Tokyo), Star Tours and others.
We had a delicious lunch at the Hungry Bear Cafe before heading off again for the afternoon.
As the evening set in, we continued to go on rides, here are a couple of photos from Big Thunder:
We also watched some of the nighttime electrical parade before watching the fireworks.
As this was our last day of 4 visiting the Disney Parks we did some final shopping before bidding farewell to yet another Disney holiday.
It all looks so wonderful. Just looking at the food makes me put on pounds but I suppose all the excitement of the ride helps to use up the extra calories.
Love to all xxxxxooooo
