Days 18 – 20: Walt Disney World

After a very enjoyable and relaxing day off on Wednesday, which took us to some shops and had us lounging about in our apartment, on Thursday we returned to Walt Disney World, starting with EPCOT.

EPCOT has its iconic symbol of Spaceship Earth which is often photographed.

As Jenna will tell you, it is made up on 11,324 triangles.

After enjoying another hour or so cooling off at the Typhoon Lagoon water park, we headed back to Epcot for the evening to watching the evening illumination show at the World Showcase.

On Friday we headed to Animal Kingdom and went straight for the very popular and newish Pandora section. We waited in line for around 2.5 hours for the Flight of Passage ride which was sensational! It may be the best attraction we have ever seen anywhere. It was well worth the wait.

We also rode one of our top 5 rides called Expedition Everest several times using the single rider line.

On Saturday morning we ventured out early to visit the Magic Kingdom for the last time on this trip and rode Mum’s favourite ride, Big Thunder Mountain Raliroad several times, whilst some of us ventured onto Splash Mountain.

Being a Saturday, the park was particularly busy and we left early for a final lunch at one of our family’s favourites, Cracker Barrel.

We also spent some time packing and trying to work through all of our stuff to get it back into suitcase, bags etc for our flight back to Los Angeles on Sunday.

We returned to Hollywood Studios for our final evening to ride the Toy Story Mania ride one final time and to watch the Fantasmic show.

We headed home for the final night in our apartment before our flight to Los Angeles on Sunday.
