McPhee Family

Days 25 – 26: Disneyland Resort and Homeward Bound

The last two days of our holiday was a repeat of our first two days at Disneyland. We got up early and was at the front gates ready for the ‘rope drop’.

Below are a number of photos from our two days:

Starting the morning riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Lindy wondering whether she will share her kitchen sink full of ice-cream with anyone else
Dad enjoying a beignet from New Orleans Square
Riding Mum’s favourite – Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Looking at Pixar Pier with the Incredicoaster
A little snooze on the ride
Looks like everyone enjoyed a little snooze
Walking through Cars Land
Mission Breakout! We broke out, thanks to Rocket
Ready to challenge for the family high score on Toy Story: Midway Mania

On Friday morning, the day of our departure from the USA, we headed to Disneyland for one final time before leaving right around lunchtime.

We headed back to our hotel and finished packing up everything before leaving around 1:30pm for lunch at the Olive Garden, which has become a family tradition.

We did some final shopping / browsing at Barnes and Noble and Hobby Lobby before returning to LAX to drop our rental car off and head to the terminal.

We were able to enjoy the Qantas First Class lounge at LAX, having a sit down dinner and enjoying the lounge afterwards with plenty more snacks, dessert and drinks before boarding.

Our flight from LAX – MEL was 15 hours 40 minutes and we arrived around 20 minutes late. Our arrival was very smooth getting our luggage very quickly, walking straight through customs and onto the carpark bus to our car.

Another great McPhee Family holiday is in the books! Where Next?
