After a very hectic two weeks of theme and water parks in the Orlando area at both Disney Parks and Universal Studios, we headed north west to the panhandle area of Florida.
We are staying in a huge 6 bedroom beach house at Santa Rosa Beach just outside of Destin, FL. We are spending this week with our Texan family (17 of us), all of which have driven over from Dallas to spend this week in Florida.
The beach here is amazing – incredible soft white sand. This area of Florida for more than 50 miles of coastline is full of holiday homes, vacation rentals etc Some incredible homes that are multi-million dollar homes. In the photos below, you would think some of those buildings are apartments – nope, they are houses.
The weather the first couple of days has been quite stormy from the effects of Tropical Storm Colin sweeping across Florida. Here is a photo looking along the beach.

We are here until Saturday before we spend next week in New Orleans, LA and then San Antonio, TX, before returning to Dallas.
Wow the beach looks amazing. What a lot of people I hope you are all having a wonderful time. At least you won’t be lonely. Enjoy your time at the beach. Miss you all a lot. We are looking forward to going home now , we leave Friday. Where are the posts from the girls, are they having too much fun. Hope to hear from them soon xxx
