Walking through London

We started off at 8am this morning on our day full of walking and sightseeing.   Starting from our apartment near Tower Bridge we walked to the Millennium Bridge and walked across hearing all about the reference to the Harry Potter scene.

We then walked to one of the most amazing buildings anywhere – St Paul’s Cathedral (seen in the background of the photo above).

We walked to Trafalgar Square and walked through the National Gallery.  Before that the girls decided to climb up and get a photo taken with one of the lions at the base of Nelson’s Column.

In the National Gallery we saw many paintings from Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet.

After visiting the very impressive M&Ms World, we headed to Oxford Street, stopping off at more shops along the way including TK Maxx and Primark.

We spent the afternoon walking up and down Oxford Street and after finishing up at the Disney Store, we walked the 5.5 kms back to our apartment, finishing up with an estimated 14kms of walking today.

We have more walking planned tomorrow …
